Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)
Income Eligibility
(Updated 10/5/2011)
Weatherization program services are available to both homeowners and renters,
with priority given to senior citizens, families with children and persons with
disabilities.
The HEAP Income Eligibility
Guidelines for the 2011-2012 HEAP Program have been updated and are
effective as of October 1, 2011. In accordance with the HCR/WAP Program
2011-2012 State Plan, we intend to continue to use the HEAP income eligibility
guidelines for determining WAP income eligibility. These guidelines are based
on 60% of state median income and family size.
Referrals to WAP subgrantees from local departments of
Social Services, and or Area Aging Agencies will reflect these new guidelines.
The implementation of these guidelines as of October 1, 2011 will assure that
the WAP Program and the HEAP Program maintain compatibility in the area of
income eligibility.
